Opening proceedings

The opening proceedings of the conference took place on Sunday 24 March 2012. Opening remarks were made by The Honourable GE Nkwinti, Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform. The Vice-Chancellors of the University of Cape Town, the University of the Western Cape and Stellenbosch university also spoke during the proceedings.
